So my cat has did this since a couple days old. He was a feral baby that was left on our door. These cats are so inbred that I just figured it was due to this. We have notice days where he does it often his eyes just appears different. I always thought it’s something with the sinus/eyes/ears. He also has weird double teeth and I always thought he had maybe a hole in his pallet. But vet gives him the all clear besides being inbred. Also yes we can spend thousands to pull the extra teeth. But was warned it could be possibly end bad because we don’t know how bad his lungs and heart are really affected by the inbreeding. So to put him under would be a be risk.

My cat is doing the same thing and I’ve had labs, two chest x rays , 2 types of antibiotics. Low dust litter and Zyrtec help a lot and keeping windows closed- they want to do a cat scan with biopsy and retro flex thing to see what’s going on in there and I’m considering it- with insurance close to 500 dollars! Crazy how confusing this all is I just want an answer ! It could be simple like allergies or a tumor ! You never know

FYI, the zoysia took over the sunny parts of the lawn, not so much the tree-shaded areas. October, 2018, we removed a huge maple (100' tall, by 50' wide) that shaded a large portion of the lawn. I can now see some of the zoysia stolens advancing towards the previously shaded area. We are not going to put in another tree. I'm going to help the zoysia spread by plugging in some of the area. Give it 2 -3 years for 80-90% coverage.

I know this is 2 years old - what is it? My Himalayan cat - flat face - does it. Just started recently. He eats well, plays well, and totally happy normal 12month old. Just curious what your cat has? Mine does it once to three times a day and skipped a day without doing it.

Did you find a fix

After 6 years I finally identified that the trigger for my cat was him sitting/laying on his stomach with his arms out, usually the way he sits while hanging out on the edge of the top bunk bed in a certain way that the bed frame would put pressure on his chest. Or when he is hanging out on top of a box and his chest is pressing into the corner of the box, or in a laundry basket and the corner of the basket is pushing into his chest, etc. Maybe this is the case for Cole? My vets weren’t much help either. I paid hundreds of dollars to find out that his lungs do look mildly inflamed, which may indicate asthma or chronic bronchitis, but we can’t be sure unless I pay even more money for an expert to look at it, because apparently a vet isn’t an expert. No thank you... even if I did that, all it’d do is tell me which name to call his condition. The fact still stands that he has this condition in the first place. So now I just try to catch Ozzy sitting that way and make him move. It’s really weird cuz I don’t understand how I went years not realizing that he had something causing pressure against his chest every time he’d have an attack. It almost makes me question if perhaps he used to have more triggers but now this seems to be his only trigger. Well anyway I hope this helps with Cole. I think I also have a video of Ozzy on my RUclips having an attack when he was younger.
